Devon Quakers worship in Ashburton, Barnstaple, Bideford, Exeter, Exmouth, Kingsbridge, Newton Abbot, Okehampton, Plymouth, Sidmouth, Tavistock, Torbay and Totnes. Occasionally meetings are held in Mortenhampstead and Honiton. Occasionally we also worship outdoors.
As a community, Quakers gather quietly for 'meeting for worship', most usually on a Sunday morning. We gather in silence; meeting is a seeking for quietness of mind, of body and of spirit.
You will be welcome at any of them. For details follow the link to "Our Meetings".
We are part of "Britain Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers)": a body linking Quakers in Britain. There is a link to the national website at the bottom of the page. Read more about the work here: Our faith, our work (adobe.com)
Be patterns, be examples in all countries, places, islands, nations, wherever you go, so that your carriage and life may preach among all sorts of people, and to them. Then you will come to walk cheerfully over the world, answering that of God in every one.
George Fox, 1656
