As a community, Quakers gather quietly for 'meeting for worship', most usually on a Sunday morning. Larger groups are able to offer other opportunities during the week. We gather in silence; meeting is a seeking for quietness of mind, of body and of spirit.
Devon Quakers gather together in Ashburton, Barnstaple, Bideford, Exeter, Exmouth, Kingsbridge, Newton Abbot, Okehampton, Plymouth, Sidmouth, Tavistock and Totnes. Occasionally meetings are held in Honiton, and we sometimes gather outdoors.
Quakers also meet at Spiceland (near Uffculme) weekly, and monthly at Tiverton. These are looked after by Quakers in West Somerset

Be patterns, be examples in all countries, places, islands, nations, wherever you go, so that your carriage and life may preach among all sorts of people, and to them. Then you will come to walk cheerfully over the world, answering that of God in every one.
George Fox, 1656
